Was in the old town and came across this unique museum. So glad I went inside. Worth the 17 euros spent. The miniatures display was especially intricate and well done. The cinema sections have some interesting displays too. The building has several floors with room numbers so make sure you cover it all.

If you are a movie buff then you would love this place. My husband and I got very excited when we kept seeing certain props from films. The miniature floors were brilliant too. The amount of detail that go into creating these miniatures is amazing. You only pay €5 if you have a Lyon City Card.

This museum was one of my favourite places to visit in Lyon. Very interesting with some awesome props/costumes etc from a lot of movies across the years Inc Mrs Doubtfire, Jurassic Park, Batman, the Alien movies, Harry Potter, Star Wars plus many many more. The interpretation signs were in French and English. The miniature cinema area was fascinating and educational too. Strongly recommend for any film enthusiast.

Well, it was an excellent surprise , there are a lot of movie props, posters, most of them from the well known movies: Perfume, Alien, Ghostbusters and many many more. But the real gems are the miniatures. You simply must see them, they are so hyper-realistic!!
Wort every penny!!

I can’t recommend this museum enough if you are a fan of films/movies !! You don’t wanna miss it.
It de-mystified a lot of movie making secrets, and you get to see the props/costumes, scene set-ups for some of the most famous movies. Super fascinated. It is located in a refurbished building and every single floors have exhibitions, full of surprises!
You can really feel people put in their effort to make this a good museum.
